CdM alumni basketball tournament set July 26

The 20th annual Jack Errion Memorial Tournament for Corona del Mar High boys’ basketball alumni is scheduled for July 26 at CdM High.

The one-day event, coordinated by Rob Hess, will feature games beginning at 8 a.m., leading to afternoon playoffs and a championship game tentatively set for 3:30 p.m.

Teams from the late 1970s through the recent class of 2008 are expected to play.

Last season, a team from the late 1980s defeated a team representing 2003 to win the title.

The event is named for the late former CdM High coach.
