The Sage Hill Boys’ Varsity lacrosse team completed its inaugural season yesterday (4/29) with a convincing 6-0 victory over Los Alamitos JV.
The win was especially satisfying as the Lightning had lost earlier in the season to Los Al by a score of 6-5. The defense was outstanding in the win, and goalie Sam Simon made many key saves to preserve the shutout. The scoring was balanced among 5 players: Max Ellison (2 goals), Jordan Spencer, Taylor Ross, Max Potkin, and Max Callas.
Sage Hill finished its season with a record of 2-9, the other win coming in double overtime against Mater Dei. With only two seniors on the squad, the Lightning has a strong nucleus of underclassmen committed to growing and improving the program next year.
