Seniors plan April membership social
Laguna Beach Seniors are planning a fun-filled afternoon from 12:30 to 2 p.m. April 14 with refreshments, singing and dancing (no partner required) to the piano tunes of John Cosgriff and a chance to win great raffle prizes.
Everyone is asked to bring a white elephant gift to donate. Those who bring a newcomer or first time visitor can increase their chances of going home with a special gift.
The event is free and will take place upstairs at the Senior Center, 384 Legion St., Laguna Beach.

Art Escapes for seniors
Laguna Beach Senior Services and LOCA (Laguna Outreach for Community Arts) is offering a new Senior Art Escapes Workshop, the Art of Drawing.
The workshop will be April 9, 16 and 23 “” all Wednesdays. The class includes instruction in simple still life; discussion of basic theory of drawing by artist/instructor Gayle Foley; set-up of a still life in a formal series of drawings designed to improve drawing skills; a living model for students to draw. Drawing pencils and paper will be used for all three classes.
All classes will be 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Laguna Beach Senior Center, lower level. To sign up, call (949) 464-9535.

Medicare, insurance assistance offered
Trained volunteers are available by appointment at the Senior Center for advising and providing information on Medicare, HMO appeals, long term care and supplemental insurance.
