FULLERTON — Freshman Josh Shinjo scored the game-winner for the Pirates in their Orange Empire Conference finale Thursday.

Freshman goalie Dane Fernandez collected fives saves for the Pirates (8-8-6, 4-6-4 in conference).

OCC will now wait to see if it will play in the postseason as the Southern California Regional playoff participants will be determined Tuesday.

COSTA MESA — The host Pirates completed their season in this Orange Empire Conference game Thursday.

Sophomore goalkeeper Heather Bystrom had five saves for OCC, as the Tigers scored in the 81st minute.

OCC finishes 4-12-3, 4-9-3 in conference, while Riverside improves to 2-16-1, 2-11-1.

COSTA MESA — Kim Wynn had 21 kills and 20 digs, while Shardai Sublett added 17 kills for the host Lions in the Golden State Athletic Conference match Thursday.

Vanguard fell to 10-15, 8-12 in conference, while APU is now 21-9, 12-8.
