Mr. Irrelevant XXXII returns to Detroit Lions

Ramzee Robinson, known as Mr. Irrelevant XXXII for being the final pick of the NFL Draft, has had quite the week.

Robinson made his NFL debut Sunday, was waived Monday and then was re-signed to the practice squad Wednesday.

In addition, he was featured in a Sports Illustrated story, which hit newsstands Wednesday.

On Sunday, Robinson, a cornerback out of the University of Alabama, made two tackles, including a solo tackle on the opening kickoff of the Detroit Lions’ 23-16 win over visiting Tampa Bay.

The Sports Ilustrated story featured the Detroit Lions’ practice squad, which included Robinson, who celebrated wildly after his first tackle.

“The way I reacted right there was an illustration of everything you go through,” he told SI.

Before the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, two of Detroit’s cornerbacks went down with injuries.

The Lions signed a cornerback, but that did not sway Robinson’s motivation to play for the Lions on Sunday.

Sunday, the Lions (4-2) play at Chicago (3-4).
