Rock music event benefits Children’s Hospital of O.C.

A surf-rock-themed soiree will benefit the Children’s Hospital of Orange County at the second annual Rock for CHOC 6:30 to 10 p.m. Nov. 3 at Harborside Pavilion Restaurant, 400 Main St. The event will include music by local rockers HONK, most famous for their association with the surf film “Five Summer Stories.” The evening also will include a cocktail reception, silent auction and dinner. The pre-event ticket price is $100 per seat, and sponsorships also are available. Online registration will close at noon Nov. 2. Children’s Hospital of Orange County has provided pediatric health care for more than 40 years and has been named one of the top children’s hospitals in the nation by CHILD magazine. The hospital’s healthcare network includes two state-of-the-art hospitals in Orange and Mission Viejo, several community clinics, a residency program that trains pediatricians, the Heart, Cancer, Orthopedic and Neuroscience Institutes, and a research institute.
