Visitor’s Bureau welcomes marketing team addition

The Newport Beach Conference and Visitors Bureau announced recently public relations and special events executive Tim O’Day has joined the marketing team as an executive consultant.

Gary Sherwin, president and chief executive of the bureau, said O’Day was instrumental in bringing national attention to Newport Beach during the John Wayne centennial celebration and O’Day’s “notable public relations experience includes working with some of the world’s most renowned brands in entertainment, travel/tourism and consumer products.”

O’Day will report to Maureen Barrett, vice president of marketing, and said he is looking forward to getting the word out about the area.
