Conference to showcase home ownership

Increasing home ownership, which has long been a goal of Costa Mesa officials, is one of the topics at a “Community Housing Conference” at the Westminster Rose Center on August 17.
Hosted by Huntington Beach state Sen. Tom Harman and Costa Mesa Assemblyman Van Tran, the conference will serve as a forum to discuss the cost of housing, ways to increase homeownership in Orange County and problems and solutions regarding sub-prime mortgages.
Experts from the government and private sectors, nonprofit organizations, faith-based organizations and community leaders will attend the conference, according to information from Harman’s office.
The conference will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon at the Westminster Rose Center, at 14140 All American Way in Westminster. For more information or to reserve a seat, call Emanuel Patrascu at (714) 957-4555.
