THE CROWD:Open house for home tour fundraiser

The Newport Coast estate of Lynn and Monte Pries was the setting for a lavish reception last week to promote the Oct. 10 Corona del Mar Home Tour. The 2006 event will mark the 33rd year of the residential tour, which benefits Corona del Mar High School and Middle School.

This year the massive undertaking is being chaired by Rita Goldberg and Robyn Moss with dedicated assistance from Robin’s husband, Greg Moss, and a committee including Bano and Bob Pozin, Diana and Jay Moss, Sarah and Robert Hange, Missy and Jerry Entin, Lori and Gary Wright, Denise and Bruce Molnar and Patsy and Tim Marshall. Patsy Marshall joined forces with Carol Dalton two years ago to launch the pre-event cocktail party and underwriting reception. Carol and Rich Dalton are also among the donors and hard-working local citizens putting on the tour to benefit the schools.

Mingling in the handsome Tuscan-style residence of hosts Lynn and Monte Pries were additional donors Janice and Larry Newfield, Stephen Zotovich, Joyce and Doug Cassel, Andrea and David Epstein, Leslie and Tim Sullivan, Debbie and Jeff Margolis, Peggy and Al Domisan and Jeanette and Mike Kysen. Guests at the Pries event donated more than $50,000 of the expected $150,000 tally from the annual home tour.

Tickets to the tour on Tuesday can still be purchased for $60. The day begins with breakfast at the new French 75 Bistro in Fashion Island, then a tour of six amazing and very different homes from Big Canyon to Crystal Cove.

Lunch will be served at Sherman Gardens, and Neiman Marcus will end the day with a cocktail party. Tickets are available this weekend at the Fashion Island Concierge desk, the Sherman Gardens Gift Shop or by calling (949) 718-3554.
