Righetti Invitational
SANTA MARIA — The Estancia High varsity finished third and the junior varsity first at the 11-school event Saturday.
Fernando Orozco was third in the 3.1-mile varsity race in 17 minutes, 4 seconds.
Wes Barloon (eighth in 17:31), Cesar Casillas (20th in 17:59), Damian Leon (25th in 18:14) and Miguel Perez (27th in 18:19) also scored for the Eagles.
Roberto Ramirez (18:43), Adrieo Robles (18:46), and Willy Rodriguez finished third, fourth and fifth, respectively, to lead the Eagles’ junior varsity.
Sunny Hills Invitational
FULLERTON — The Corona del Mar High girls’ and boys’ varsity teams finished first and second, respectively, Saturday at Sunny Hills High.
With 26 schools competing in a division CdM Coach Bill Sumner said combined Division II and Division III runners, CdM senior Sarah Cummings finished first in 18 minutes, 12 seconds.
Junior Shelby Buckley (18:21), junior Allison Damon, senior Hilary May (18:54) and sophomore Laura Bilder (19:06) rounded out the top five for the Sea Kings.
CdM senior Tommy Hutchison (16:03) finished fourth. Junior Thomas Dialynas (16:11), senior Tri Nguyen with a lifetime-best 16:19, senior Tim Scott (16:25) and John Leonard (16:34) rounded out the top five for the Sea Kings.
Specific places were unavailable, Sumner said.

NEWPORT BEACH — The Sea Kings finished eighth in the 32-team tournament after losing at Newport Harbor High on Saturday.
Ryan Hultman scored four goals and Mike Berry three for CdM (4-4).
