POLICE FILES - Sept. 22, 2006

MONDAY

COAST HIGHWAY: A 4-to 6-foot long snake, described as possibly being a python, was taken into police custody at 10:55 a.m. after being discovered by a woman in her garden on the 32100 block.

COAST HIGHWAY: Construction covers for ladder racks, valued at $1,000, were reported stolen from a construction site at 9:08 a.m. on the 30900 block.

SUNDAY

FOREST AVE.: A man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at 6:44 a.m. at Park Ave.

HILLCREST DRIVE: A woman reported that her Social Security number had been used to access her business account and to forge checks at 12:47 p.m. on the 700 block.

CLIFF DRIVE: The rear window of a vehicle was reported smashed at 12:53 p.m. on the 800 block.

COZUMEL COURT: The window of a Jeep Cherokee was reported smashed and unknown items taken at 11:52 a.m. on the 300 block.

SATURDAY

FOREST AVE.: A purse was reported stolen at Heisler Park at 9:46 p.m.

COAST HIGHWAY: A camera was reported stolen from a Jaguar at 4:30 p.m. parked in a lower lot at a hotel on the 30000 block.

BLUEBIRD CANYON DRIVE: A car window was reported broken and an Ipod and CDs stolen from the vehicle at 5:05 p.m. on the corner of Coast Highway.

COAST HIGHWAY: A woman, described as blond and aged in her 20s, driving a top-down BMW, reportedly struck three vehicles and then drove away with significant front end damage to her car at 2:35 p.m. at the intersection of Chiquita Street.

FRIDAY

LAGUNA CANYON ROAD: A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI at 11:41 p.m. at the intersection with the 73 Toll Road.

WESLEY DRIVE: A gym door was reported jimmied and a stereo taken from a residence at 5:22 p.m. on the 21000 block.

COAST HIGHWAY: A Lexus was reportedly broken into at 5:37 p.m. on the 31000 block.

SANTA ROSA COURT: A restaurant patron reported a camera stolen while dining at 1:59 p.m. on the 200 block.

ALLVIEW TERRACE: A garden was reported vandalized at 10:01 a.m. on the 22000 block.

OCEAN AVE.: Two men were arrested on suspicion of fighting and being drunk in public at 2:29 a.m. on the 200 block.

THURSDAY

FOREST AVE.: A Las Vegas man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public at 10:36 p.m. at police headquarters.

GLENNEYRE STREET: A 1999 Ford Mustang was reported stolen at 12:42 p.m. on the 400 block.

WEDNESDAY

NO. COAST HIGHWAY: A woman reported that her credit cards were stolen from her wallet and $2,000 in fraudulent charges made at 6:03 p.m. on the 700 block.
