Tiffany Kim (44)., Ali Thomas (45), Lauren Draganza (46) and Brittany Phillips (49) also scored for the Tars (4-1, 1-0 in league).

SANTA ANA — Kelsey Vinditozzi and Natalie Kraft both shot 12-over-par 47 to pace the Lightning in this nonleague match Tuesday at Willowick Golf Club.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO — Senior Juliane Piggott had 14 kills and eight digs to lead the Sea Kings to a 25-11, 25-23, 25-20 nonleague road win Tuesday.

Senior Kelly Christian had 12 kills, five aces and eight digs, while Jamie Lawson added 13 assists and Conley Kipp had three solo blocks.

CdM improved to 8-2.

Costa Mesa def. Loara

ANAHEIM — Senior Danielle Morton had 10 kills, while sophomore Renee Nutter chipped in 23 assists and nine aces to lead the Mustangs to a 26-24, 22-25, 25-23, 25-14 nonleague win Tuesday.

Senior Caitlyn Duffy added 13 digs for the Mustangs (1-2).

Viewpoint def. Sage Hill

CALABASAS — Senior Kelsey Lawler had five kills and five blocks and junior Colleen Heyler added five kills in the Lightning’s 25-17, 25-15, 25-18 nonleague loss Tuesday.

Sage fell to 3-5.

Estancia def. Los Amigos

FOUNTAIN VALLEY — Sarah Braunsdorf and Olivia Schow led a barrage of aces, with seven and six, respectively, to help the Eagles post a 25-21, 25-11, 25-10 nonleague win Tuesday.

Annie Tomasek added eight kills for the Eagles (6-2).

GIRLS’ TENNIS

Corona del Mar 15, Los Alamitos

LOS ALAMITOS — The Sea Kings’ No. 2 doubles team of sophomores Danielle Kaiden and Lindsay Zotovich swept to improve to 8-0 this season in the nonleague victory Tuesday.

Freshman Hailey Hogan won 18 of 19 singles games and senior Michelle Atkins won 18 of 20 to help CdM improve to 5-0.

Marina 2, Newport Harbor 1

HUNTINGTON BEACH — The Sailors took the lead in the fifth minute when Rachel Foster scored on an assist by Robin Ibbetson, but the host Vikings scored twice in the second half Tuesday.

Newport Harbor goalie Jessica Pizarek had five saves and Coach Devon Kelly credited the strong play of Hayley Ayres, Claire Josephson and Amanda Shaw.

Newport fell to 5-2-2.

CROSS COUNTRY

Academy League Meet

LONG BEACH — The Sage Hill School varsity boys’ and girls’ teams both finished first at El Dorado Park Tuesday, while St. Margaret’s was second.

For the boys, junior Connor Rose (17 minutes, 1 second) finished second overall on the three-mile course, followed by Sean McElroy (third in 17:03) and Lion Wintemute (fifth in 17:44).

Conrad Whitaker (18:14) was ninth, and Kyle Simon (18:56) was 15th.

The Sage Hill girls swept the top three spots, led by Cait Williamson (20:20), Aiyana Bobrownicki (20:21) and Katie McKeon (21:09).

Erica Faris was sixth in 21:31 for the Lightning, and Kara Percival (21:37) placed eighth.
