Laguna Niguel man arrested in sting

An 18-year-old Laguna Niguel man was arrested on suspicion of selling prescription drugs to an undercover police officer July 6.

The suspect allegedly sold $2,500 worth of drugs to the officer following an investigation by police that lasted a couple of days, Sgt. Darin Lenyi said.

The alleged incident happened in the 31800 block of Coast Highway.

Woman assaulted while entering taxi

A woman was allegedly sexually assaulted as she stepped into a taxi at 9 a.m. July 2.

As the victim entered the back seat, a man on the street allegedly groped the 24-year-old victim through her dress, Det. Sgt. Darin Lenyi said.

The alleged incident happened in the 600 block of South Coast Highway.

The suspect is described as a 30-year-old male, 5 feet 10 inches, 180 pounds, medium build with black hair. Anyone with information may call the police at (949) 497-0369.
