Community groups will perform Saturday; wreath auction is slated. The 15th annual Winter Fantasy finishes its four-weekend run at the Sawdust Art Festival grounds Saturday and Sunday. The show is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
Visitors to the show enjoy an old-fashioned village atmosphere as well as the new Arctic Ice Cave and a snow area. Santa takes requests in his own cozy house from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
Saturday at 4 p.m. is the culmination of the first Artful Wreath project, when 20 one-of-a-kind art wreaths will be auctioned, with proceeds benefiting the nonprofit Sawdust Art Festival’s Winter Fantasy Educational Fund.
This weekend’s entertainment highlights:
* Saturday, the Laguna Presbyterian Agape Bell Ringers, the El Morro Honor Chorus and the St. Catherine’s Choirs perform, as will Poul Pedersen (lead singer of the Missiles of October).
* Sunday features the Laguna Beach High School Jazz Ensemble, the folk/pop music of Brooke Ramel and the harmonious sounds of the Girls. Strolling carolers, the Balloon Diva and acrobats will delight the crowds.
The show features art classes for children and adults (included with admission), artist demonstrations such as glass-blowing, three cafés and a saloon.
