Styling with interior design

D Kruse is one of the most stylish home furnishing stores in Newport Beach.
And just for the holidays, it offers handmade jewelry by Suzan today, Friday and Tuesday. Co-owners Dee and Randy Kruse provide fresh looks to enhance stodgy interiors. Prior to opening D. Kruse, the couple operated a local upscale design house for nine years, creating D. Kruse furniture and accessories and offering interior design service.
At D. Kruse you can find furnishings that “bridge the gap” between stark-modern and warm-homey. The Kruses bring together flattering combinations of modern and vintage pieces. They also seek out hard-to-find European lines, including beautiful Bodo Sperlein teardrop lighting from London; wonderful spine lights from Brickett Davda in London; handblown Grapa light fixtures from Italy; Astier white ceramic dishes; and great and affordable throw blankets. They also carry Jaliska glass, Paul Smith ceramics and vintage Christofle silver.
Fine materials and exquisite detailing is the common denominator in all products, whether it’s their own D. Kruse line of furniture or George Smith, a high-end furniture line from England.
Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday. 3412 Via Lido in Newport Beach. (949) 673-1302. www.d-kruse.com.
