Sea Kings post an overtime upset

NORTH HOLLYWOOD -- Corona del Mar High’s boys’ water polo team upset Harvard-Westlake in overtime, 11-8, in a CIF Southern Section Division I quarterfinal match on Tuesday.

The Sea Kings, ranked No. 7 in Division I, moved into to the semifinals to face Back Bay rival Newport Harbor. The match will take place Friday afternoon at William Woollett Jr. Aquatic Center in Irvine.

Harvard-Westlake was the No. 2 seed in Division I.

Overtime goals by Ryan Hultman, Kyle Hersh, Ryan Kent and Tom Money propelled CdM to victory. Money had a team-high four goals and Kent added three goals for the Sea Kings (17-13).
