Skynet defeats Warriors

Garrick Langer scored three goals and Skynet overcame an early

deficit to defeat the Warriors, 7-3, in a Howe Division contest at

Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

The Warriors led after one period, 2-1, but were outscored, 6-1,

over the final two periods.

Langer, who led all scorers, also picked up an assist. Also

scoring for Skynet were Jordan Matsunaga with two goals, and Eric

Epperson and Connor Lipscomb with one goal each. Lipscomb also had an

assist and Patrick Lipscomb led Skynet with two assists.

Dennis Maccarthy had 16 saves.

In other Howe Division matches:

Bombers 6, Hawks 3

Gene Jaeger posted three goals to lead the Bombers.

Chris Weldon, Sean McDaniel and Aaron Baca-Chavez each scored

once. Weldon, Baca-Chavez, McDaniel, Nick Iacono and Daniel Graves

each had an assist.

Kenneth Nguyen had 16 saves in the victory.

Jacob Sabraw led the Hawks in scoring with two goals. William

Baltazar had the other Hawks goal, and Will Shepherd and Kandice

Ehret each had an assist.

Brad Giczewski finished with 21 saves.

In Norris Division action:

With David Panchak recording 18 saves and fronted by a strong

defensive effort from his teammates, Wasabi scored a 7-0 victory over

the Gladiators.

Neither team could get on the scoreboard in the first period, but

Wasabi took control of the match by scoring three unanswered goals in

the second period. They then put the match out of reach by posting

four more goals in the final period.

A trio of Wasabi players led the team in scoring as Adam Hess,

Nicholas Panchak and Dylan Rodriguez each scored twice. Larry

Benavente scored the other Wasabi goal.

Rodriguez also led the way in the assists department with two,

while Benavente, Evan Hess and Chandler Clark each had one.

Jessica Baltazar had a busy day in the net and finished with 34

saves for the Gladiators.

Rattlers 3, Thunder Blades 2

Kyle Williams, Aron Wong and Matthew Chism scored goals as the

Rattlers held off the Thunder Blades.

Joshua Gruwell scored both goals for the Thunder Blades.

Skulls 10, Blades 2

The Skulls broke open a tight match by scoring seven goals in the

final period to pull away to victory.

Shane Williams scored and Tyler Wilford had an assist for the

Blades.
