Huntington Beach local Mike Breidenthal will hold a grand opening of
his new surf shop, Ohana Surf Co., from noon to 5 p.m. at 4972 Warner
Ave. Breidenthal’s store will focus on family apparel and everything
surfing. The grand opening will feature a free lunch, merchandise
giveaways and a surfboard raffle, with all proceeds going to benefit
Village View Elementary. Breidenthal is a 15-year Huntington Beach
resident and this is his first retail venture....
Huntington Beach High School student Quenby Hersh will dance as a
finalist in the Youth America Grand Prix Ballet competition from
April 14 to 18 in New York. Hersh, 17, is a junior at the high
school, where she dances with the Academy of Performing Arts’ ballet
ensemble.
