Irvine Co. hires two new executives
The Irvine Co. Company Retail Properties announced two new hires
to its executive team Thursday.
Robert L. Sorensen, who in the past worked as an executive with
real estate company TrizecHahn, was appointed vice president of
regional centers, which includes Fashion Island.
Timothy Kolvoord was named senior director of project management.
His last job was a post as construction manager with the Los
Angeles-based Robertson Properties Group/Pacific Theatres.
The Irvine Co. is headquartered in Newport Beach.
O.C. Business Bank sees less red in 2004
Orange County Business Bank, which launched in 2002, announced an
increase in assets and a smaller operating loss last year than they
did in 2003.
The bank announced losing $1.5 million over 2004. In 2003, the
bank’s reported loss was $2.1 million.
Newport company nets award for tuner
Communications technology company Conexant Systems Inc. of Newport
Beach announced one of its products won an ACE Award given by EE
Times, an electronics engineering magazine.
Awards were announced March 9 in San Francisco. A Conexant
satellite tuner was named the best radio frequency and microwave
product introduced in the past 12 months. The tuner was designed for
digital television markets in Europe, India and the Pacific Rim.
