Vera Blomquist

A private memorial service is pending for former Corona del Mar

resident Vera Blomquist.

Born in Bedford, England, Mrs. Blomquist, a secretary, lived in

Corona del Mar for six years. She died Feb. 16 of natural causes. She

was 86.

Mrs. Blomquist is survived by her daughters, Jan Matlock and

Sheila Bull; her sister, Katherine Paesler; four grandchildren and

five great-grandchildren.

Helene Daniels

A private memorial service is pending for former Newport Beach

resident Helene Daniels.

A New Yorker, Mrs. Daniels was a clerk for Dun & Bradstreet and

lived 47 years in Newport Beach. She died Feb. 18 of natural causes.

She was 85.

Mrs. Daniels is survived by her sister, Anne Gerus; her sons, Don

and Paul Daniels; her daughter, Chris Torino; and four grandchildren.

Warren Jay Lortie

A memorial service for former Corona del Mar resident Warren Jay

Lortie was held Saturday at Pacific View Mortuary.

Born in Topeka, Kan., Mr. Lortie was a retired aircraft program

manager who spent the last three years of his life in Orange County.

He died Feb. 15 of cancer. He was 84.

Mr. Lortie is survived by his wife, Dorothy Lortie; his brother,

Anton Bagaehr; his sisters, Margie Pruitt, Neva Koon and Joanna

Riddle; his son, Warren Haward Lortie; eight grandchildren and nine

great-grandchildren.
