The Estancia High and Costa Mesa junior varsity girls soccer teams
played to a 1-1 Golden West League tie Tuesday.
Cinthya Pasallo, Kaite Hamilton and goalie Ashton Henderson led
the Eagles’ defense, while Laura Ceja, Angie Espinoza and Cheli Ceja
led the offense.
Cheli Ceja scored Estancia’s goal in the second half, shooting the
ball from 35-yard line over Mesa’s goalie.

Frosh/soph
The Corona del Mar High frosh/soph girls basketball team used a
pressing defense in the second half to defeat Beckman, 42-30, in a
Pacific Coast League game Thursday.
R.C. Avedissian, Allie Childs and Tamara Parks helped CdM outscore
Beckman, 16-0, in the third quarter and the Sea Kings improved to
7-4.
Elle Luce had a season-high 16 points, while Susan Moheimani added
12.

Frosh/soph
The Corona del Mar High frosh/soph girls basketball team defeated
Foothill, 32-24, in a nonleague clash Tuesday.
Elle Luce led the way with eight points.
Tamara Parks added seven before fouling out, while Allie Childs
chipped in six. Taryn Garn had four points for the Sea Kings.

Junior varsity
The Estancia High junior varsity girls soccer team tied Orange,
1-1, in a Golden West League game Tuesday.
Cheli Ceja scored her seventh goal of the season with help from
Susie Carmona and Nathalie Martinez.
Stephanie Garcia, Laura Ceja, Keria Hernandez and Kaelyn Davis led
the defense.
