Cindy Alldrin hit a five-footer with three seconds remaining in
overtime to lift the Sacramento State women’s basketball team to a
70-68 nonconference victory over host UC Irvine Tuesday.
Melissa Jacob hit her first three-pointer of the season for UCI
(0-7) with 13 seconds to go, knotting the score at 68. before
Alldrin’s game-winner.
Angie Ned paced the Anteaters, who led by 11 points with 8:22 left
in the second half, with 22 points, eight rebounds and three steals.

CdM finishes third
* SOCCER: Junior Kelly Morgan scored the game-winning goal in
overtime to lead the Corona del Mar High girls soccer team to a 3-2
win over Marina in the third-place game of the Irvine tournament
Tuesday at Irvine High.
The Sea Kings (5-7) lost to Irvine, 1-0, in the semifinal round
earlier in the day, qualifying the them for the third-place game.
Against Marina, Morgan tallied two goals and sophomore Alex Tobiessen
scored one.

* WATER POLO: Jordan Anae scored twice while Ashley Chandler added
one goal, but it was not enough as the host Corona del Mar High girls
water polo team lost to visiting Santa Barbara, 5-3, nonleague game
Tuesday.
Anae scored two straight goals to help the Sea Kings (2-2) forge a
3-2 halftime edge. CdM senior goalkeeper Brittany Fullen made seven
saves.
The Sea Kings host Huntington Beach at 10:40 a.m. today.
