CHRISTMAS TREE SALE

The Festival of Trees will be selling Christmas Trees from 10 a.m.

to 7:30 p.m. daily through Dec. 24 at the True Colors Studios, 2825

Laguna Canyon Road. The trees are fresh and range in price from $25

to $70. Ten percent of net proceeds will go to the Laguna Beach

OPEN GATHERINGS

Open Gatherings, a local movement that draws people together from

all faiths and nonfaiths to explore topics of spirituality,

relationships and personal ethics, will hold its monthly meeting at

7:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 429 Cypress

Drive. The topic will be “Values? A Liberal Looks at Christmas,” with

a discussion led by Rev. Tari Lennon. Donations are accepted and

there is free child care for children ages four and older.

PEACE VIGIL

The Laguna Beach Peace Vigil will meet every Saturday from 11 a.m.

to 1 p.m. at Main Beach. The group seeks nonviolent answers to global

ADULT BASKETBALL

The public is invited to play ball at Laguna Beach High School.

Full-court pick-up games are played in the school’s gym from 9 a.m.

to noon Sundays. Many former high school and college players

participate. The games are sponsored by the city’s recreation

department. Cost is $2 at the door.

TUESDAY

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church will welcome anyone dealing with grief

and loss in a new support group. The group will meet at 7 p.m. on

BIBLE STUDY

Word Study Laguna Beach, a community nondenominational,

nonexclusive Bible study, will hold meetings at noon at the Calvary

Evangelical Free Church. Word Study Laguna Beach is an independent

ministry of Word Study International and meets weekly from noon to 1

p.m. in the church at 468 Legion St. All are welcome to participate

South Coast Music Together is hosting classes on Tuesdays,

Wednesdays and Fridays at two community locations -- Lang Park at

natural musical ability through experience rather than theory.
