Zena

This precious-looking little thing was quite vicious when captured

in the Costa Mesa backyard of the Roberts family. That’s why they

named her Zena the warrior. Now cuddly and sweet, this Snowshoe

Siamese Himalayan mix and her look-alike brother are available to be

pre-adopted.

Pre-adoption allows people to secure the adoption before the young

kitten is made available at our public adoption events. You can see

the kittens’ caregiver’s phone numbers on our website

(https://www.animalnetwork.org). However, we will not be able to

“hold” the kittens through Christmas, as our families are desperately

needed to save more lives. Do not wait until Christmas to adopt a

kitten, or you may not find one.

Meeting the animals in a home environment allows the babies to

feel safe and let their personalities shine. At our public adoption

events, you must rely on the caregiver to tell you about the pets’

personalities, as they are often so frightened by the crowds.

Here’s a Christmas idea. Make photocopies of your favorite “Pet of

the Week” and insert a copy in each Christmas card with a note to

your friends that you believe this local animal rescue group does

great work. Maybe they will contribute. The more money donated, the

more animals we can help. We have treated more than 500 animals at

local veterinarians already. This Christmas could be a real

lifesaver.

The Community Animal Network is a community-supported animal
