Newport Harbor rallies

The Newport Harbor Baseball Association 11-year-old team scored six
runs in the final inning to earn a 14-13 victory against Dana Point
in winter league action Oct. 3.
Aaron Schott was hit by a pitch to lead off the inning.
Gus Moore, Tyler Kiehnle and Jake Stowell then drew consecutive
walks, scoring Schott.
After a pop out, Ethan Fichtner hit a bases-clearing triple.
Ryan Davis then pounded a single to right to drive in Fichtner for
the tying run.
Davis stole second and Brennan Callahan followed with a sharp line
drive that was caught by the center fielder.
With two outs, Patrick Overstreet laced a line drive to the gap in
right-center field for the walk-off single.
Grant Fujii and Conner Bush also reached safely during the
contest.
Cameron Cuevas struck out two of the eight hitters he faced in the
final inning to get out of a bases-loaded jam.
