James H. Gormley

A funeral mass for James H. Gormley, a longtime Balboa Island

resident, will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at St. John Vianney Roman

Catholic Church at 314 Marine Ave. on Balboa Island.

Mr. Gormley died on Oct. 12 of natural causes. He was 83.

Mr. Gormley is survived by his sons, James Gormley III and John

Gormley, a daughter Janice Stewart and five grandchildren.

Natalie Kern Ames

Natalie Kern Ames, an 11-year resident of Corona del Mar, died on

Oct. 11 of ovarian cancer. She was 59.

Mrs. Ames is survived by her husband Lee Ames; son Christian Ames;

daughter Amber Ames; brothers Richard, Jay and Michael Kern; and

sister Nancy Kelleher.
