No early voting in Laguna

Barbara Diamond

Laguna Beach was excluded from the early voting sites because Deputy

City Clerk Martha Anderson is on the ballot.

The Orange County Registrar of Voters has a policy that no

candidate can be a poll worker, which is what Anderson would be --

even a candidate who is running unopposed, as Anderson is.

“I argued that the City Clerk is the election official and cannot

opt out every presidential election when the clerk is on the ballot,”

City Clerk Verna Rollinger said. “I lost.”

Early voting locations at other city halls are listed on the

sample ballot. For more information, visit

https://www.oc.ca.gov/election/ or call the registrars’ office at

(888) OCVOTES.
