* Broadway: A battery was reported in the 300 block at 11:05 p.m.
* Catalina Avenue: Identity theft was reported when a man told
police someone had used his name and driver’s license number to write
fraudulent checks in the 31500 block at 4:29 p.m.
* Laguna Canyon Road: A woman reported a counterfeit $10 bill was
used at a ticket booth in the 900 block at 12:11 p.m.
* Laguna Canyon Road: A man reported two amplifiers were missing
from his car when he picked it up from impound in the 1800 block at
3:01 p.m.
* Ocean Avenue: A Laguna Beach man was arrested on suspicion of
being under the influence of a controlled substance in the 200 block
at 11:47 p.m.
* Wave Street: A red Jeep Liberty was reported stolen in the 100
block at 7:55 p.m.
* Wave Street: Two men in a truck were reportedly using
flashlights to look into garages in the 200 block at 12:34 p.m.
MONDAY
* Acacia Drive and Cedar Way: A pedestrian was reportedly hit when
a teenager threw a water bottle out of a car at 6:47 p.m.
* Anita Street: A watch and a digital planner were reported stolen
out of a car in the 500 block at 6:39 p.m.
* Broadway: Several passengers reportedly harassed a bus driver in
the 300 block at 9:09 p.m.
* Hillview Drive: A brick was reported thrown through a window
overnight in the 2100 block at 7:57 a.m.
* Nyes Place: Sewage was reported dumped on the street after a
truck carrying portable toilets became stuck in the 400 block at 8:56
a.m.
* South Coast Highway and Vista del Sol: A Mission Viejo man was
arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, possession of
marijuana and speeding after police responded to a report of a race
at 2:22 a.m.
* Sunset Avenue: A man reported his table saw was stolen in the
32000 block at 2:16 p.m.
SUNDAY
* Cozumel Court: A Harley-Davidson motorcycle was reported stolen
overnight in the 200 block at 8:47 a.m.
* Forest Avenue: A transient was arrested on suspicion of
commercial burglary in the 200 block at 12:38 p.m.
* Jasmine Street and Monterey Street: A man reported he had been
shot by a paintball gun at 2:21 p.m.
* South Coast Highway: A surveillance camera was reported stolen
in the 1000 block at 9:53 a.m.
SATURDAY
* Brooks Street: Hit-and-run was reported by a woman who told
police another driver rear-ended her vehicle and drove away in the
500 block at 7:43 p.m.
* Glenneyre Street: A woman reported someone has been trespassing
at her home in the 600 block when she is away at 9:30 a.m. She also
told police her phone bill shows charges for calls she did not make.
* Seacliff Drive: People were reported having sex on the beach in
the 31700 block at 7:28 p.m.
* Shadow Lane: Police received a report that a man wearing all
black with a hood covering his head broke into a Mercedes and ran
away in the 400 block at 5:45 a.m.
* South Coast Highway: A Dana Point man was arrested on suspicion
of driving under the influence and hit-and-run in the 2800 block at
7:20 p.m.
* South Coast Highway: A woman reported her purse was stolen out
of her room in the 800 block at 9:44 p.m.
FRIDAY
* Forest Avenue: Three men were reported yelling profanities at
passersby outside a store in the 200 block at 7:07 p.m.
* Glenneyre Street: A man was reportedly screaming at people in
the 800 block at 11:37 a.m.
* South Coast Highway: Police received a report that a woman
continuously left threatening letters to hotel managers in the 400
block at 11:46 a.m.
* Victoria Drive: A man reported his neighbor’s dog killed his cat
in the 2600 block at 10:03 p.m.
* Victory Walk: A man reported finding a used syringe at a work
site in the 1200 block at 2:19 p.m.
