Home makeover to air on ABC this weekend
The “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” episode featuring a family
from Costa Mesa will air at 8 p.m. Sunday on KABC-TV, Channel 7.
The homeowners, Tom and Deirdre McCrory, were selected after
stating in their application that their 1954 home on the city’s east
side was in need of updating and that they wanted to increase the
size of their house to accommodate the triplets Deirdre McCrory is
expecting on July 4.
Firm offers database to identify sex offenders
Newport Beach-based investigative research firm APSCREEN announced
that it now offers free access to a national sex offender information
database it created.
Company founder Tom Lawson said he compiled sex offender
information from 34 states and 12 other jurisdictions to create the
only comprehensive national website of such data.
The website contains no advertising, requires no registration and
charges no fees to users. Lawson said all the information on the site
is public record. He offered the site as a public service to the
community, and he hopes its availability will embarrass states that
don’t make their sex offender data public into doing so, he said. The
site can be found at https://www.nationalsexoffenderregistry.com.
