Lindsay Rose Dagdigian of Huntington Beach was selected to
participate in the 2004 Miss Teen Anaheim pageant scheduled for Feb.
22. The competition, sponsored by National’s Inc., will award more
than $20,000 in scholarships and prizes. A victory in Anaheim would
clear the way for Dagdigian to compete in the Cities of America
National Competition in Orlando, Fla. ... Coast Guard Seaman
Apprentice Mohamad J. Addam recently graduated from the U.S. Coast
Guard Recruit Training Center in Cape May, N.J. The training program
included instruction in water safety and survival, seamanship, first
aid, firefighting and marksmanship. Addam graduated from Huntington
Beach High School in 2000, and is the son of Yasser Addam of
Huntington Beach and Patricia L. Levy of Temecula ... Navy Airman
Brian A. Hansen and military personnel assigned to the U.S. aircraft
carrier George Washington recently responded to a distress call from
an Italian merchant ship. Hansen’s ship sent a Seahawk helicopter to
rescue a wounded Italian sailor who was treated for facial
lacerations and a leg injury aboard the ship. Hansen is the son of
Huntington Beach resident John M. Hansen.
