Mailers shouldn’t be deceptive

With her former position as a Democrat together with some of her
liberal actions and views, the misuse of the Cox letter clarifies my
decision not to vote for Cristi Cristich.

For Cristi Cristich not to immediately own up to this lack of
judgment and deception on her part but instead let her campaign
manager brush this matter off as insignificant speaks volumes about
her character. Our congressman, Chris Cox, is a well-respected member
of the community and has enjoyed enormous political success -- having
been re-elected to office time and time again.
Presumably, many people will take his concerns and criticisms
quite seriously. The gross disrespect that has been shown to Cox by
the Cristich campaign is truly unfortunate and once again points
directly to her character. I believe that Cristich should be and most
likely will be firmly rejected by local voters because she and her
advisors simply can’t be trusted. It is also my opinion that local
voters expect more from this particular candidate, who continually
mouths high moral and ethical standards by way of her voluminous
campaign literature and public appearances throughout the 70th
District.
If Cristich wants to use these sleazy political tactics, perhaps
she should run for office elsewhere and seriously reflect upon the
fact that she is living in Newport Beach, not Southgate.

I’m outraged that Cristi Cristich would resort to this type of
deceit, although I’m not surprised. This is a candidate that is
passing herself off as a conservative Republican but endorsed Clinton
in 1996. I believe this will further hurt her reputation in the
district.
