The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices each day
at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree. The
selection varies and may be either a salad, sandwich or hot entree.
School lunches are $2 each. Here’s what’s being served this week:
TODAY
Munchable Lunch Salad with Yoplait Yogurt or grilled cheese
sandwich, crisp green salad with ranch, raisins, 100 percent fruit
juice bar and choice of milk.
WEDNESDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or chicken nuggets, seasoned corn, choice of
100 percent fruit juice and choice of milk.
THURSDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or chicken-o-lantern sandwich on a bun, baby
carrots with ranch dip, pears, graham crackers and choice of milk.
FRIDAY
Non-student day.
MONDAY
*Munchable Lunch Salad or Oscar Meyer all beef hot dog on a bun,
baby carrots with ranch dip, applesauce and choice of milk.
The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry tomatoes,
crackers and protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds, fruit
yogurt and honey-roasted peanuts. (*Peanut butter on selected days)
