TUESDAY
* North Coast Highway: A woman calling herself Kathy was
reportedly calling police repeatedly making false reports of
disturbances from the 1000 block.
* Laguna Canyon Road: A 150-pound deer with three broken legs was
reported in a parking lot in the 1900 block at 7:14 p.m. and picked
up by Animal Services.
* Forest Avenue and 2nd Street: A leaky fire hydrant was reported
at 5:54 p.m.
* Temple Hills Drive: A resident reported that his daughter and
her boyfriend had been stealing money and forging his checks in the
200 block at 3:44 p.m.
* Laguna Canyon Road: A 37-year-old Laguna Hills resident was
arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property at 1:17 p.m. near
Canyon Acres Drive.
* Mountain View Drive: A resident reported that a large
steamroller had been in front of a house in the 3000 block since
Sept. 26 and requested that it be marked and tagged. Officers then
marked and tagged the vehicle.
MONDAY
* North Coast Highway: Police received calls at 5:05 and 6:04 a.m.
from a woman saying her neighbor was torturing people with a large
iguana in the 1400 block.
SUNDAY
* Main Beach: Police arrested two transients in their 20s on
suspicion of being drunk in public after a woman reported that one of
them was reaching into the other’s pants in plain view of children.
Police found the 20-year-old woman and 27-year-old man exiting the
same men’s bathroom stall and arrested them.
SATURDAY
* South Coast Highway: Police arrested a 21-year-old Long Beach
resident and a 19-year-old Laguna Beach resident on suspicion of
being drunk in public after they allegedly tried to fight two guys
they thought were gay at the Jack-in-the-Box at 1:17 a.m.
* North Coast Highway: Police arrested a 33-year-old San Clemente
resident on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled
substance after an officer saw him yelling at a building and trying
to fight someone who wasn’t there in the 100 block at 2:11 a.m. The
man continued yelling and trying to flail his handcuffed arms at an
invisible person next to him while in his holding cell.
SEPT. 26
* South Coast Highway: Police arrested a stripper from Florida on
suspicion of possessing LSD, mushrooms, marijuana, Vicodin and
methamphetamine in the 600 block at 3:45 a.m.
* Cedar Way: Police arrested a 20-year-old Monarch Beach resident
on suspicion of unlawful possession of a knife with an 8-inch blade
and marijuana in the 400 block at 6:52 p.m.
SEPT. 25
* Park Avenue: A resident reported that strange smoke was coming
from a neighbor’s chimney in the 400 block at 4:24 a.m. Police
arrived at 4:35 a.m. and saw nothing strange about the smoke.
* Broadway: Undercover officers arrested two Laguna Beach
residents at the bus depot on suspicion of selling cocaine,
conspiracy to commit a crime and possession of cocaine and held them
on $50,000 bail each.
