Mensa club wants to challenge you
The word may mean stupid in Spanish but the Mensa club is anything
but that, as it’s members tout above average intelligence and require
it as a criteria to join.
On Oct. 18, Mensa officials invite the public to take the Mensa
admissions test, composed of two tests featuring questions involving
logic and reasoning. Those who score at or above the 98th percentile
on one of the tests qualify for membership.
Orange County Mensa has 706 active members and is one of more than
130 local Mensa groups nationwide. There are 30 or more activities
every month for Orange County members, plus events in the greater Los
Angeles and Inland Empire areas.
Test takers must be 14 or older and present valid photo
identification. The fee is $30 and the test will be hosted at the Red
Cross in Santa Ana. For more information, call (714) 534-1438.
