Rotary scores upset in postseason play

In Tuesday/Thursday League postseason play in the City of Laguna

Beach Community Services Department’s Summer 16 Slow Pitch Softball,

Rotary and Ganahl Lumber stayed alive in tournament play each by

posting victories in loser’s bracket play.

Rotary 7, Team Viagra 3

Rotary used a 10-hit attack to upset regular season tri-champion

Team Viagra.

Dave Zogg led the hit parade with a pair of home runs and Mark

Smith, Eric Schmidt and Mark Mauer each hit a home run.

Nate Pivaroff hit a two-run homer and leadoff batter Cam Hammil

doubled and singled twice to lead Team Viagra.

Ganahl Lumber 6, Used Cars 3

Jeff Stevens went three for three with an RBI triple and two

singles and leadoff hitter Steve Dixon doubled and single for Ganahl

Lumber.

Rick Edwards and Greg Wallace added to the attack with two singles

each.

Corey Doll’s two-run home run and single paced Used Cars.
