Local skimboarders fare well at Gold Coast Classic

Eight Victoria Skimboards athletes placed among the top 20 finishers
in the Pro Division at the 11th annual Gold Coast Classic held at
Deer Creek in Ventura County.
Bill Bryan’s second-place finished led the way for Victoria
Skimboards who had Miles Grobman and Jaime Lovett finish fourth and
fifth, respectively, Brandon Sears in eighth, Keith Peery and Morgan
Just in 11th and 12th, respectively, Brandon Rothe finished 14th and
David Hand was in 18th-place.
Bryan also took Best Barrel honors with a front side, 180 wrap.
The Best Wipeout winner was Matt Krouse, who dislocated a finger.
Other Victoria Skimboard athletes also fared well in their
respective divisions.
Nate Zoller won the 15-17 Division and was followed in
second-place by Isaac Zoller. Josh Shedden won the 18-21 Division and
Laura Preston won the Women’s Division.
Zac Johnson was second in the 12-14 Division.
