Ice Dogs put freeze on Penguins

The Ice Dogs overcame a slow start by scoring five, second period
goals and went on to defeat the Penguins, 8-2, in Norris Division
action at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.
Michael Thomas scored the first two Ice Dogs goals and went on to
lead the team with four goals overall.
Thomas also had an assist.
Christian Mohl scored two goals and Trevor Whitecotton and Dillon
Chang each scored once.
Makenna Song also had an assist and Joshua Swafford had 14 saves.
Brice Larson scored for the Penguins.
Kyle Macleod had 16 saves.

Stars 8, Team L.A. 2
The Stars blew open a tight match by outscoring Team L.A., 5-0, in
the final period.
In the decisive quarter, Kyler Scott scored three goals and Tanner
Chang scored twice.
Jeffrey Beko scored once with an assist, Hunter Koon scored once
and Chang and Beko also had an assist.
Zachary Beko finished with 16 saves.
Derek Loh and Steven Rousseau scored for Team L.A., Jake Beideman
had an assist and Noah Johnson recorded 23 saves.
Slugs 4, Lightning 3
Brett Vanderham and Brett Berns split the scoring for the Slugs as
they held off the Lightning.
Maggie Prizler, Nathan Enright and Sam Prizler each had an assist
for the Slugs and Sam Hart had 15 saves.
Luke Bosiljevac scored in each period to account for the
Lightning’s offense.
Troy Baljeu had an assist and Jonathan Hunt came up with 23 saves.
Big Dogs 5, Sharks 2
Cody Jackson, Ryan Humphrey, Craig Wellander and Sean Mastro all
scored to lead the Big Dogs.
Humphrey and Mastro each had an assist.
James Newman finished with 24 saves.
The Sharks had taken a 2-1 lead after the first period behind
unassisted goals by Taylor Baikie and Chris Terrell.
Derek Peters recorded 24 saves.
