These are the 21 unmet conditions the city has placed on march
organizers:
1. Police will escort marchers with a rolling street closure in
the direction of travel.
2. Organizers must have adequate event volunteers to maintain a
rope barrier along the left side of the marchers to prevent marchers
from drifting out into open lanes of traffic.
3. Organizers must sign a police services agreement for police
services for the rolling street closure.
4. No more than 10 motorcycles will be permitted in the march.
5. Photocopies of each motorcycle participant’s driver’s license
must be available before the march.
6. All motorcyclists must attend a safety briefing with the Police
Department.
7. All motorcyclists will be required to ride in a column
formation during the march.
8. Organizers must obtain any and all permits that may be required
by other government entities.
9. Parking is not allowed at the Neighborhood Community Center
because a previously scheduled large event is on the same date.
10. Set up cannot begin earlier than 7 a.m., and teardown must be
completed no later than dusk on the day of the event.
11. At least 10 trash cans must be provided in addition to the
trash cans at Lions Park.
12. All trash and debris must be removed from the site upon
conclusion of the event.
13. Organizers shall work with the city’s maintenance series
manager to provide adequate restroom facilities to accommodate
attendance at the event.
14. Organizers must provide their own power and electrical
supplies at their sole cost and expense.
15. The permit, conditions and attached application must be
available on site for review by city personnel at all times during
the permit period.
16. Organizers must provide the city with a current certificate of
insurance with minimum limits of $1 million for general liability and
no-owned automobile liability coverage, including coverage for
motorcycles for the event. The policy shall also include an
endorsement naming the city as an additional insured.
17. The attached indemnity agreement must be signed by the
organizers of the march and returned to Jim Golfos with code
enforcement at least 10 business days before the event.
18. Organizers must include language stating that the city does
not guarantee the safety of the participants in this event and is not
responsible for damage to property or personal injury of any
participant in the program and to be distributed to all vendors.
19. Sound levels shall not exceed 55 decibels at the residential
property line.
20. Organizers must provide written notice to the owners or
on-site managers of all retail businesses adjoining the march route,
informing them of the time, date and route of the march.
21. Organizers must comply with all of the plans outlined in their
application that don’t conflict with the conditions set forth herein
above.
