Schools meet scholastic goals
Every school in the Laguna Beach district met the federal math and
English goals this year, according to the state Department of
Education.
More than half the schools in Orange County didn’t meet standards.
Only Los Alamitos, Irvine and Saddleback school districts scored
higher median percentages in the combined disciplines than Laguna
Beach. Laguna Beach was most comparable to Brea-Olinda, with Laguna
schools scoring slightly higher in English and slightly lower in
math.
Top of the World Elementary outscored El Morro by 11.8 percentage
points in English proficiency and 11% in math.
