MUSIC LEGEND KEIKO MATSUI
Music legend Keiko Matsui is playing a benefit concert for Hoag

The Orange County Performing Arts Center 2003-04 Concert Series
will open with a special celebration -- a 75th birthday celebration

‘JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR’
“Jesus Christ Superstar” is coming to Orange County Performing
Arts Center’s Segerstrom Hall Sept. 16 through Sept. 21. It was the
first masterpiece from the legendary team of Tim Rice and Andrew
Lloyd Webber. This landmark show, which premiered in 1971, chronicles the last seven days in the life of Jesus of Nazareth as seen through
the eyes of his disciple, Judas Iscariot, who has become
disillusioned with the movement. Tickets are from $27.75 to $64.75.

PETER MAX
World-renowned artist Peter Max will make a personal appearance at
the Wentworth Gallery in Newport Beach to showcase his “Colors of a
Better World” exhibit from noon to 3 p.m. Aug. 9. Max will be signing

a Better World” collection features more than 100 original paintings,
