Major League Soccer camp come to town
Some of soccer’s top coaches will gather in Surf City to give
instruction at the Major League Soccer Camps hosted by AYSO No. 192
of Huntington Beach/Fountain Valley.
The camps will run from July 28 through Aug. 1 at Lamb Field in
Huntington Beach.
A camp for children 4 to 6 will run from 5 to 6:30 p.m. daily for
$59 per camper.
A second camp is open to players ages 7 to 10 and will be held
daily from 5 to 8 p.m. The cost is $99 per camper.
An Advanced Camp, open to players age 11 and up, will run daily
from 5 to 8 p.m. The cost for the camp is $99.
Campers will be taught how to combine skills and technique and
will receive a voucher to attend a Major League Soccer match.
Major League Soccer Camps annually serves more than 270,000 youth
soccer players.

Nike football camp
comes to Edison High
In preparation for the upcoming football season, some of the
professionals and top coaches from the sport will be at Edison High
Saturday and Sunday to give instruction at the Nike/West Football
Camps.
The camp, open to players ages 7 to 19, will run each day between
8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. The cost is $125 per player and space is
limited.
Among the techniques campers will be taught are speed enhancement
and football running mechanics and advanced technique training for
any position selected, team concepts such as defensive pursuit and
offensive strategies.
Instruction will be given in a non-contact, stress-free and
position learning environment.
