X-Men pull away to Campbell crown with 4-1 win

The X-Men shut out the Wings in the final two periods and scored

three goals themselves and went on to claim the Campbell Division

championship with a 4-1 victory at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center

in Huntington Beach.

Dylan Christiano scored consecutive goals to break a 1-1 tie and

Bryce King scored the last of his two goals in the final period to

account for the X-Men’s scoring.

Travis Bertrand recorded the win on 28 saves.

Ryan Voohries scored a first period goal for the Wings.

David Mastro had 26 saves.

Norris Division

Sharks 5, Intimidators 3

Ashley Woody scored two goals and had an assist, Sean Froelich

scored twice and Jacob Shaver had a goal for the Sharks.

Corey Jones had 23 saves.

Travis Bertrand scored all three goals for the Intimidators, Dane

Chavez had two assists and Tyler Bertrand had 20 saves.

Adams Division

OCB 95 12, Fusion 7

OCB 95 outscored Fusion, 5-1, in the final period to pull away.

Troy Loggins scored four goals, Matthew O’Donnell scored twice

with two assists, James Andrews scored once with two assists, Jimmy

Rodriguez and Ryan Schlerf each had a goal and assist and Christian

Weber had two assists to lead OCB 95.

Andrew Mendoza finished with 32 saves.

Eric Newfield led Fusion with five goals, Jason Callanan had a

goal and assist, Jordan Sanders scored once and Wyatt Theobald had 22

saves.

Patrick Division

Roadrunners 6, Diamonbacks 0

Jeremy Cacal got the shutout on 28 saves, Gregory Martin scored

two goals, Christopher Romero and Nathan DeBoom each scored once with

an assist and Addison DeBoom and Michael Mowrey each scored once.

Smythe Division

Red Lazers 3, Hyper Monkies 0

Daniel Ane shutout the Hyper Monkies on 20 saves, Jacob Trani

scored twice, Ryan Ward scored once and Zack Bair had two assists for

the Red Lazers.

Howe Division

Thunder 3, Roller Dogs 1

Conner Richard scored twice, Dmitri Sedykin scored once and Damion

Raburn had 25 saves for the Thunder.

Wales Division

Kings 3, Hawks 2

Neil Patel scored twice, Sean Wing scored once and Jeff Fuzzard

had 29 saves as the Kings prevailed in an overtime shootout.

Nathan Bergeron and Aly Zappen each scored once with an assist and

Amy Zappen recorded 43 saves for the Hawks.

Mite Club Division

PC Falcons 10, Red Bulls 3

Austin Shannon powered the PC Falcons’ attack with four goals and

three assists. Max Devries scored twice with a pair of assists, Sean

Easton scored twice with an assist and Kevin Lassen scored twice.

Shayne Nelson scored once with an assist, Dylan Verrastro and Cody

Merrick scored once and Bobby Sowma and Ryan Iverson each had a pair

of assists.

Squirt Division

OCB 92 11, PC Falcons A 4

Rocco Grimaldi matched four goals with four assists, Kourtney

Kunichika scored twice with an assist, Adam Siegmann and Mark Miller

each scored once with two assists and Blake Siegmann and Nathan

Sutton each scored once with an assist for OCB 92.

For the PC Falcons A, Matt Braun scored twice and had an assist,

Brandon Prince scored once with an assist and Jeff Fuzzard scored

once.

Pee Wee Club Division

HB Breakers 3, Coyotes 2

Kyle Anfang scored twice, Mitchel Gonzales scored once and Kent

Morikawa had two assists for the HB Breakers.

Michael Mendez and Jason Wall each scored for the Coyotes.

Jr. High Division

Mesa View 7, Marine View 6

Kenny Gibo’s four goals led a Mesa View attack that also saw Mike

Burkhardt get two goals and two assists and Mark Miller score twice.

Kevin Lachman scored three goals and Kelan Stuart, David Woods and

Chad Ramsey each scored once for Marine View.
