Have pity on Piloteers
Former Costa Mesa mayor Karen Robinson’s dream has come true. Last
week, the Orange County Superior Court formally swore her in as
judge.
The formality made Robinson the first African American judge in
the county. The Mesa Verde resident said the robe “represents a
tremendous responsibility -- one that I understand and take very,
very seriously.”
There is no doubt that Robinson will do the county well in
fulfilling her dream, and there is no doubt she will perform his role
seriously, but we hope she will know when it is most appropriate to
show pity -- such as if any Piloteers end up in her court.
