UC Davis picks Stewart as coach

UC Davis hired Gary Stewart as its new men’s basketball coach

Thursday, which maintains the continuity of the UC Irvine coaching

staff.

UCI associate head coach Todd Lee interviewed for the UC Davis

head coaching position last week, as did Stanford assistant coach

Eric Reveno. Stewart served as Director of Basketball Services at

UCLA after spending the previous three years as an assistant coach at

Washington State.

Lee said he is looking forward to next season with the Anteaters.

This weekend he will be on the recruiting trail in Las Vegas.
