A’s bombard Angels

The A’s pounded out 12 hits, led by Trevor Springman’s two-run home

run, and parlayed that onslaught into a 15-0 Majors Division victory

over the Angels at Huntington Valley Little League.

Springman also singled in the game.

Other top A’s hitters included Nick Miller with a two-run triple,

Race Parmenter with a double, Weston Stephens and Jon Miller reach

went two for two and Conor Reynolds singled twice.

Parmenter pitched a complete game shut out, allowing just three

hits while striking out 13.

Dillon Petraca’s double and singles by Jullien Herrera and Nick

Woldridge accounted for the Angels’ three hits.

In other games:

Pirates 6, Dodgers 1

Pirates pitchers Nick Mazzone and Tim Higgins combined to no-hit

the Dodgers.

The lone Dodger run came during the first inning when Houston Hill

walked and later scored on a wild pitch.

After that, Mazzone and Higgins had 10 total strikeouts.

Mike Willson threw four solid innings for the Dodgers, allowing

just one run while striking out five.

The Pirates put the game away with a five-run fifth inning.

Rich Levinson doubled and singled twice, Brian Schwartz doubled

and singled, Mazzone had an RBI triple and Sam Hunt hit a two-RBI

single.

White Sox 7, Diamondbacks 5

The White Sox posted five runs in the fifth inning to overtake the

Diamondbacks.

Bradley Hansen had an RBI double during a three for three game and

Jeremy Jennings had two hits, an RBI and scored twice.

For the D-backs, Barry Luke led the way with a double and triple.

Scott Martin, Luke Holler and Rob Toth each doubled.
