Quiksilver adds two to the win column

Quiksilver’s offense came to life in its last two AAA Division

outings and the outburst was costly to First Team Nolan and

Prudential in Laguna Beach Little League action.

In a high-scoring slugfest with First Team Nolan, Quiksilver

emerged with a 19-13 victory at Riddle Field.

Alec Lochner had two RBIs and scored three runs, Taylor Preston

had an RBI and scored four times and Cody Alter had a hit to top

Quiksilver.

Travis Sampson scored three runs and Ben Hanson and Sam Simon each

scored twice for First Team Nolan.

In outlasting Prudential, 10-8, Lochner hit a two-RBI triple,

Preston had an RBI and stole home and Alex Bekken pitched the final

two innings, striking out six consecutive batters, for Quiksilver.

IN OTHER GAMES:

SG Roofing 12, Prudential 6 SG Roofing used a four-man pitching rotation to remain unbeaten

and atop the division standings.

Jake Glazer, Sammy Witte, Tyler Kesler and Michael Seal shared the

mound and received strong defensive support from Drew Romero and

Michael Hyden.

Hyden and Romero also keyed SG Roofing’s offense with two hits

each. Witte had a triple, Kesler doubled and Seal, Alex Gromet, Alex

Gustis, Evan Rubel and Jase Swinden each had hits.

Caden Robinson, Sean Pigden and Brenden Ferguson led Prudential on

offense.

In AA Division action:

John Jory 9, Laguna Batting Cages 0

Derek Strombotne and Cole Kessler each tripled and Nikki Bruner,

Calvin Garmshausen and A.J. Eagle all doubled to power John Jory.

John Jory 8, Crane Investments 4

James Yorke’s early home run helped bring John Jory back from a

three-run deficit.

John Jory completed the comeback in the fourth inning when Nikki

Bruner and Cole Kessler each tripled and Derek Strombotne and Calvin

Garmshausen each singled.

Oysters 11, Crane Investment 2

Preston Grande Pre’s three-run home run capped a six-run second

inning for the Oysters.

Other key Oyster performances came from Nathan Thomas and Joe

Redfearn each with an RBI single, Bryan Ludloff finished with three

RBIs and struck out five on the mound and Barrett Thornton and Teague

Hamilton each singled.

For Crane Investment, Timmy Crane singled and scored twice, once

on Hutton McKenna’s triple, the other run on McKenna’s single.

Javier’s 8, Laguna Batting Cages 8

Adam Rodner, Andrew Koumas, Cayman Elkin and Jake Knott all

recorded two hits to pace Javier’s in this tie game.

Garrett Burk and Blair Hanson each had a pair of hits to lead the

Laguna Batting Cages.

In Majors Division play:

Fire Fighters 4, Laguna Surf & Sport 2

Ian Greene delivered two hits and an RBI, Brian Ross and Luke Lacy

each singled and Brennen Mulvaney struck out six over the final two

innings to lift the Fire Fighters.

Fire Fighters 7, Dodgers 4

Daniel Seleven tripled twice and picked up two RBIs in the process

to lead the Fire Fighters against their rival from San Juan

Capistrano.

Graham Harris tripled and Spencer Friedenrich and Matt Boesche

each had an RBI single for the Fire Fighters.

Harris and Adam Seleven struck out six batters between them and

Brennen Mulvaney closed on the mound for the Fire Fighters, striking

out five.
