The ornamental horticulture students at Orange Coast College will
sell some of their best home-grown plants at their annual spring
plant sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and every Friday through May
2.
Plants available include: tomatoes, colorful annuals, bell and
chili peppers, nemesias, verbenas and bacopa, mixed color baskets,
ivy geraniums, double impatiens and hydrangeas. Every Tuesday, you
can call their plant hotline to find out which plants are for sale

A children’s eyeglass party featuring BBig eyewear, a new
Netherlands eyeglass company, will be given at l.a. Eyeworks at South
Coast Plaza from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday. The event includes a photo
booth and traditional Dutch snacks. The hip glasses for kids are
available in cool styles and great colors. The collection of plastic
and metal frames fit faces of babies, young teens and anyone in
between. Co-sponsor Oilily, a Netherlands-based children’s apparel
company, will join the party. Regular store hours are 10 a.m. to 9

Richard Stevens Cosmetics is offering a spring makeup special for

The popular animated Hello Kitty character visits Longs Drugs at
Fashion Island from noon to 4 p.m. today and Saturday. Hello Kitty
helps celebrate the arrival of the new summer line of Sanrio’s “Hula
Kitty” merchandise. Also, Longs Drugs hosts a coloring contest in
which one winner each day will receive a Hello Kitty gift basket. In
addition, Longs Drugs will offer 10% on all Hello Kitty merchandise

A RARE OCCASION
Faberge collectors won’t want to miss a rare appearance by Tatiana
Faberge, the last living member of the Faberge family, at Lucy Zahran

purchases from 2 to 6 p.m. and share the history of the original St.
Petersburg store. Featured at the event is the entire Faberge
Collection: reproductions of original Faberge designs in sterling
