Conflict of interest decision set for Monday
Costa Mesa Acting City Atty. Tom Wood said Friday that he will
publicly release his decision Monday on whether Councilman Allan
Mansoor violated the city’s conflict of interest code.
Former mayor Sandra Genis questioned Mansoor because he received
$300 in campaign contributions from Joel Faris and then appointed him
as his planning commissioner.
The conflict of interest code that Genis helped write makes a
conflict any campaign contribution of $250 or more during the year
before a council decision involving the contributor. Mansoor was
elected in November.
