Stock offering nets $780,000 for Irvine Sensors Corp.
Irvine Sensors Corp., a Costa Mesa semiconductor producer, said
Monday that a private stock offering netted $780,000 in income for
the company.
During the offering, the company sold packages that included two
shares of common stock and a warrant to purchase one common share for
$2 in three years. Those packages sold for $2.20 a piece.
A limited number of accredited investors were allowed to
participate in the offering. Shares of the company’s stock fell 4.55%
Friday to $1.26.
FileNet opens wallet to buy Canadian software firm
Costa Mesa software provider FileNet Corp. announced Wednesday
that it was acquiring Canadian software firm Shana Corp. for
approximately $8.5 million.
FileNet said it would acquire all of the company’s outstanding
shares of stock in a cash transaction.
Privately held software manufacturer Shana, based in Edmonton,
Canada, specializes in programs that provide specialized forms. Shana
was an innovator in producing so-called “e-forms” software. Its
customers include NASA, General Electric and Boeing.
FileNet and Shana have been marketing an integrated “e-forms”
product for the past year through a partnership agreement. FileNet
offers Enterprise Content Management and other programs to help
companies manage the flow of information and content.
Shares of FileNet fell 3.61% Friday to close at $10.41.
