Children can make their mark on Fashion Island during the center’s
annual spring Children’s Tile Painting event by painting their own
tiles that will pave the paseos of the shopping center. The 12-inch
terra cotta tiles are $100 each, with a portion of the proceeds
benefiting children’s arts programs at the Orange County Museum of
Art. The popular painted tiles were introduced at Fashion Island in
1995 and have become a signature of the shopping center. There are
1,215 hand-painted tiles throughout the center’s paseos. Tiles cost
$100 per tile, which is tax deductible. Prepaid reservations are
required and can be made at the Fashion Island Concierge on the main
level of Atrium Court. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 12 and 13.
